Starting at Ridgway, south of Montrose, the Unaweep Tabeguqche Scenic Byway is rich in the history of Western Colorado. From the mountain peaks of the San Juan Mountains to the canyon country of Unaweep Canyon the visitor is drawn to the vastness and beauty of Western Colorado.

Length:  133 miles.
Driving time:  3 hours.
Major Features: San Miguel River Environmental Area, Unaweep Seep, Dolores and San Miguel Rivers, West Creek Picnic Area, Gateway Colorado Auto Museum, Nature Conservancy’s Tabeguache Creek Preserve, Hanging Flume, Dominguez and Escalante Espedition Historic Marker, Nature Conservancy San Miguel Canyon Preserve

Towns: Grand Junction, Naturita, Norwood, Uravan, Gateway, Placerville
